Audition Signups

We expect signups for fall 2026 auditions to be available in late-July.

Materials

Auditions for the fall 2026 Concert Bands will be held on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday August 16 in the Lewis E. Epley Jr. Band Building. Any University of Arkansas student, regardless of major, may audition. An audition time sign-up sheet will be available on the band website in early August.

Placement in the concert bands will be based on musicianship, tone quality, intonation, rhythm, and style. Auditions materials are available on the University of Arkansas Bands SharePoint. Current University of Arkansas students can request access to SharePoint here.

There will be a minimum percentage necessary to qualify for placement in the bands. In the unlikely event that there is an incomplete instrumentation in any of the bands, additional scholarships will not be awarded to students to fill incomplete instrumentations.

Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony (fall and spring)

Fall auditions for the Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony are scheduled the two days before the first day of classes.

Spring auditions are scheduled during the two weeks prior to the end of the fall semester.

Audition materials can be obtained six weeks prior to the audition dates by visiting this website or by logging into the University of Arkansas Bands SharePoint page. If you have questions, please email us at bands.uark.edu.

Auditions for the spring semester are scheduled during the two weeks prior to the end of the fall semester.
